PHOTOJOURNALISM
I have had lots of experience in front of the camera anchoring and reporting the news; however, it wasn't until I joined the Media Communications & Broadcasting class my senior year that I dove into the creative side of video editing and production. Below I have placed my work behind the camera: shooting and editing B-roll to tell a story through photojournalism.
ENCOUNTER CHURCH
NOVEMBER 3RD, 2023

For this project, all students had to create corporate video for a business/non-profit company of their choice.
I chose my uncle's church, Encounter Church, in Evansville, Indiana. I visited the church one Sunday in October and shot all the B-roll and organized the interview. I edited the video using Adobe Premiere and made the graphics using Canva.
WEST SIDE NUT CLUB FALL FESTIVAL
NOVEMBER 17TH, 2023
Back in October, the Media Communications & Broadcasting class attended the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival as a class field trip. During this field trip, we were assigned to create a "snack sized" promotional video for the West Side Nut Club highlighted all the aspects of the annual festival. I collected tons of B-Roll and edited the short video using title graphics from Canva.
GRAPHIC DESIGN PROMOTIONAL VIDEO
DECEMBER 8TH, 2023
As a quick, final project of first semester Senior year, we were assigned to create a micro-sized promotional video for a class at the Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center. Since this class may not be as "visually interesting" as other classes at SICTC, I had a bit of a challenge trying to capture exciting footage that would encourage a student to apply for this class. A graphic design student gave me a tour through the class, and together we found the best possible shots to highlight this class for the short promotional video.
